1. What is matcha?
Matcha is a vibrant green tea powder packed with antioxidants and natural energy. Unlike regular green tea, where you steep and toss the leaves, matcha lets you drink the whole leaf—meaning more flavor, more nutrients, and more benefits! 3. Where is our Signature Matcha grown?
MILKI Matcha is always grown in Japan. It's handpicked during the first harvest in Kagoshima. The place where your matcha is harvested has an impact on its flavor due to differing climates, soil quality, and cultivation methods.
Kagoshima, located in southern Japan, is known for its volcanic soil, clean air, and mild climate—ideal conditions for growing premium matcha. The region’s nutrient-rich soil enhances the tea’s natural sweetness and umami flavor while reducing bitterness. Every batch is carefully stone-ground to preserve its rich taste and nutritional benefits, delivering a high-quality matcha experience in every cup.
4. What does matcha taste like?
Matcha’s flavor is rich, smooth, and full of depth—kind of like your first taste of red wine or dark chocolate. Thanks to its high chlorophyll and amino acid content, it has a unique vegetal freshness with a naturally sweet, buttery aftertaste. Our MILKI Matcha is especially creamy, with a delicate nutty flavor and a frothy, velvety texture.
5. How much caffeine does matcha have?
Per 1.5g serving there is around 50mg of caffeine.
6. What is L-Theanine?
It’s a naturally occurring amino acid in matcha that, when paired with caffeine, provides calm, focused energy that lasts longer—no jitters, no crashes.
6. How do I make the perfect cup of matcha?
Step 1:
Add 1-2 tsp of matcha in a bowl with 0.5 dl of 70-80°C hot water.
Step 2:
Whisk in zig-zag motion until frothy and lump-free.
Step 3:
Top with your milk of choice, hot or cold. We recommend oat milk!
7. How to store my matcha?
Store in a dark and cool place. For best freshness, keep it in the fridge after opening.
8. Where do we ship?
Currently, we exclusively ship within Sweden, but we're actively working on expanding to other countries as soon as possible. Stay tuned for updates!
9. What is the shipping fee?
Shipping within Sweden costs 49 SEK. We offer free shipping on all orders over 500 SEK.
